The famous role she played on the screen is bakeneko (ghost cat).
She had uptilted her eyes and digged her claws like a cat.

in 1942, she organized her own theatrical campany 'Suzuki Sumiko Ichiza'. After then, she devoted herself to the stage. Stage works; "Arima-neko" (trans. Arima Cat, by Suehiro Kaoru, 1942), "Shin Yotsuya kaidan: Kyouren onna shishou" (trans. New Yotsuya Ghost Story; Crazy Love Female Master, by Suehiro kaoru, 1946), "Okesa-neko" (trans. Okesa Cat, 1962), "Teisetsu meoto neko" (trans. Faithful Conjugal Cat, 1962) and others.
